Obama speechwriter Benjamin Rhodes, Rice ’00, to speak at Baker Institute

On Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, Rice University alumnus Benjamin Rhodes ’00 will return to his alma mater to speak to students, faculty and members of the Houston community about national security. Rhodes currently serves as deputy assistant to President Barack Obama and deputy national security adviser for strategic communications and speechwriting. Previously, he served as a speechwriter for the White House and the Obama campaign.

Following Rhodes’ remarks, political science professor emeritus John Ambler will moderate a question-and-answer session with the audience.

The event is open to the public, but an RSVP is required. A light lunch will be provided.
