Would there be any less conflict in the world if Islam did not exist? Graham Fuller, adjunct professor of history at Simon Fraser University, says no.
On Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, Fuller will visit the Baker Institute to discuss his book “A World Without Islam,” which suggests that many of the current tensions that exist between the East and the West have geopolitical rather than religious origins, and that these tensions would have arisen regardless of the existence of Islam. He explains the complex causes of ongoing conflicts and reframes the conversation beyond the context of ideology.
There is limited space available if you’d like to attend, but you must RSVP here first. Please note this event includes a book signing.
