Tomorrow night, Wednesday, Dec. 1, the Baker Institute will host His Excellency Husain Haqqani, ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the United States.
Pakistan has undergone profound changes in the last five years, and the world is paying closer attention. Haqqani’s remarks will focus on his country’s evolving relationship with the United States.
Haqqani was appointed his country’s ambassador to the United States in April 2008. Previously, he served as an adviser to Pakistani Prime Ministers Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi, Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto. From 1992 to 1993, he was Pakistan’s ambassador to Sri Lanka.
